Traffic Insurance
SITUATIONS WHERE TRAFFIC INSURANCE DOES NOT PAY
Traffic insurance, commonly known as "Kasko" (Comprehensive Insurance) in Turkey, provides security for your vehicle. However, there are certain situations where the insurance will not pay out. These situations include:
*Damages to the vehicle that may occur due to situations such as invasion, collision, state of emergency, rebellion, and military actions, whether or not a state of war has been officially declared in the country.
*Damages that may be caused by radioactivity contamination resulting from any nuclear fuel or nuclear waste, in cases of nuclear-related damages.
*Accidents that may occur due to alterations made to the vehicle, except for towing by a public authority.
*Damages that may occur while the vehicle specified in the insurance policy is being driven by individuals who do not possess the necessary driver's license in accordance with the provisions of the Highway Traffic Law.
*Damages that may occur due to the driver consuming alcohol above the legally prohibited level or using narcotics as stipulated by the Highway Traffic Law.
*Damages intentionally caused to the vehicle by the insured or persons for whom they are responsible, or by persons with whom they live, as well as the hijacking or theft of the vehicle by these individuals.
*Damages that may occur due to lack of maintenance, damages arising from negligence related to issues such as oil, water, freezing, and corrosion.
*Breakdowns, fractures, and malfunctions in the mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment of the vehicle, unless they result from an event covered by the insurance.
*Damages that may occur during the transportation of the vehicle on a ship, train, or by road and air, during scheduled and licensed voyages, into or out of which the driver voluntarily enters and exits, are not covered by the insurance, and traffic insurance does not pay in such circumstances.
