SOCIAL MEDIA
The term “Social Media,” which has become familiar to all of us in recent days, is actually a phenomenon that entered our lives in an instant but we accepted very easily. It is an undeniable fact that communication methods must also keep pace with the change indicated by the era. Today, thanks to the phenomenon of social media, communication has become a state where discussion and sharing are essential, without time and space limitations. Social media is an interactive platform where people exchange information, that is, they ask questions and receive answers. This platform; at the same time, it has led to the emergence of phenomena such as content produced by users themselves and media produced by customers.
Social media is becoming more functional every day by providing faster information flow as an environment open to everyone and everything. The cost-free and faster information flow is one of the most important features of this platform. Social media, which overshadows traditional media tools in terms of reaching audiences, is being adapted to traditional media tools. Television and radio programs are now also benefiting from social media. In other words, we can say that traditional media is going into a process of cooperation with social media, instead of opposing it, in order to survive and keep up with the times.
