What are the Barcode Printing Methods?
Direct Thermal Printing Systems
In industrial barcode printer systems, there are multiple ways to print barcodes, and each method always has advantages and disadvantages. In laser printers; barcodes can be printed with laser printers, and there are no service or spare part issues with laser printers. In barcode printers; barcode printer products offer two different printing techniques, direct thermal and thermal transfer. With these systems, the printing process is done by wetting the papers. In the method to be used, a heat-resistant paper, like in fax machines, is heated and burned. Due to the effects of this heat, the papers turn black, and thus the printing operations are completed. It is also applied in industrial barcode printer systems. However, environmental factors always play an important role in the prints made with this method, and this printing method is short-lived. The reason for this is that it is affected by the sun, heat, and intense light, and deteriorates. However, it is an ideal application for short-term uses.
Thermal Transfer Printing Systems
The prints made with these methods are always used for a long time, and the applications are carried out with ribbons called ribbons. In industrial barcode printer systems, the ribbon takes the place of the heated papers in direct thermal printing. The ribbon is heated and adhered to the papers, and it is a healthier method. They are not directly affected by the sun, heat, and intense light. They always yield long-lasting and durable results.
