This profession, which has varied from ancient times to the present day, now serves with a wider range. Accordingly, the printing sector in our country serves and is at the same level as the world in terms of the latest technology. It should be known that in recent years, a large number of machines with high technology are imported into our country. Generally, the production departments of a printing house are defined as pre-press and post-press. These departments are supported by areas such as production planning, quality control, sales, and marketing. It serves as the departments in the printing industry where all designs coming from a digital environment in advertising agencies are prepared for printing. In these areas, Macintosh computers are generally preferred and used. In printing houses, designs prepared in programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, and InDesign in advertising agencies are opened in the pre-press departments of printing houses using the same programs, brought into a state suitable for necessary production, and color and necessary corrections are made.
How is the Pre-press Department
Since the offset printing systems and models widely used in the sector are offset printing, the number of employees who prepare special designs for these printing systems is also quite large. Compared to the old days, in today's technology and time, flexible packaging and label production have increased rapidly, and flexo is used in the printing of these products. There is a great need for employees who can prepare designs in the most suitable way for the typo and gravure printing systems used in printing houses, and they are indispensable. Two main methods are used for the preparation of plates: either all the montages are made after the film outputs are obtained in the manual method, or plates are directly prepared from digitally prepared montages and made ready for use. After these processes and stages, the montage process is completed quickly, either manually or digitally, depending on the technology of the printing houses.
