Things to Consider with Medicinal Plants
We often purchase many plants in our daily lives that we believe will be beneficial for our health. But how much do we know about them?
One of the things to pay attention to when buying plants is their color. You should be careful not to buy plants with pale or dull colors. Raw forms of plants, called herbal drugs, used in making medicines are also among those that should not be bought. Additionally, you need to change your storage methods. Remember that plants stored in the open lose the effectiveness of their active ingredients.
When buying plants, always check their Latin names online. Even if you know their Turkish names, Latin names will make your job easier.
Make sure the plants you buy have not been stored for more than 12 months. If you are considering buying drugs stored in transparent or polyethylene packaging, think again, as they are not hygienic.
Keep in mind that plants stored in wooden cabinets offer extremely healthy storage conditions in terms of health and active ingredients. You can also choose products in paper packaging.
For storing at home, do not doubt that glass jars are the most suitable environment. Of course, they need to be stored in a shady place.
