Eat According to Your Psychology
There is a direct correlation between a person's eating habits and their psychological states. We have specific eating behaviors, especially during states of depression or happiness. In such situations, people either tend to overeat or lose their appetite. Both create health-threatening conditions.
Experts say that when a person feels tired, they should opt for a diet rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C, which boosts the body's resistance, should be obtained from fresh fruits or vegetables as much as possible. Peppers, oranges, tangerines, lemons, parsley, and arugula are among the suitable foods to get vitamin C.
Stay Away From Coffee When Angry
When feeling weak, protein-containing foods are quite beneficial. It is important to eat fruits and vegetables containing protein as a supplement to vitamin C. You can make yogurt with cucumber (cacık) or consume milk, yogurt, and cheese.
For those who feel unhappy or depressed, it is a healthier method to satisfy sweet cravings with dried fruits instead of running for sweets. Alternatively, eating meals containing bulgur is also beneficial, as eating whole-grain sandwiches will reduce this desire.
Experts recommend eating walnuts instead of drinking coffee or strong tea when feeling irritable. Hazelnuts or almonds are also among the other alternatives. If you are going to drink tea, you can prefer sage tea, chamomile tea, or rosehip tea.
