Diabesity

Diabesity is among the most frightening diseases of recent years. The term diabesity was given due to the frequency of both diabetes and obesity occurring together. While obesity is rapidly spreading worldwide, increasing obesity also leads to diabetes. It is seen very frequently not only globally but also in our country. 2 out of every 3 people have weight problems. Obesity has been determined as the cause of the increase in diabetes.

Diabetes and Obesity

Type 2 diabetes was almost never seen in people in their 20s or 30s in the past. In recent years, however, type 2 diabetes is seen even in children. It is seen in almost every weight group. The common characteristic of type 2 patients is that almost all of them are overweight or obese. For this reason, obesity and diabetes appear intertwined. Obesity is known to cause numerous diseases. One of these diseases is diabetes. The rapid increase in diabesity and the resulting deaths in recent years have led to this disease being called the "plague of the century." This disease, which threatens human health, also causes other diseases and is effective in premature deaths.
